I had never seen a picture of an antelope before. My parents took a trip to the states a few weeks ago, and my dad loving Wyoming as much as he did took my mom there.
My mom took tons of pictures of so many amazing animals, including a wild buffalo, antelopes, coyotes, elk and wild horses my dad made friends with. They also drove though Ten Sleep without realizing it was where you reside.

I’ve lived in Ontario, Canada my whole life and found the animals in Wyoming breathtaking.
Keep up all the amazing posts, blogs and pictures-I read your sites daily and always look forward to pictures and updates of the whole farmily!

Lovely. Makes me think of the morning when I saw some deer in silhouette, grazing on a steep hillside just before dawn.

There is a sweetness about antelope, and this is a sweet picture of sweet antelope.

Aah! Our Whitetails have NOTHING on your Mulies! Those ears- they must be like telescopes the way they glide back and forth. Biggest ears EVER. :D
Despite being in a hunting family, I loooove deer to little pieces. They look so fragile, until they start stomping at you or jumping over one another.
Dad took me out driving a week ago on the air force base woods. Not only did we see a bear(such awesome critters~), but we also spotted a doe, standing at the base of a scrub oak, watching our truck with the most curious expression on her face. She, finally, became bored of the truck, and wandered off, probably to find acorns in the valley below.
Love seeing photos of your home on the range! Our deer hardly stay in little herds like that. They usually break up into small family groups of sisters and children.

Lucky girl… Great picture, I like the sepia color of the animals and grass on the blue sky and the rounded hedge makes it again very old America.

‘Round about this time of year many deer head in to town. Presumably to avoid the huntin areas.

BTW Nothing appropos of this post but if you ever want a really, really bright hot orange, pink or green collar for Charlie, let me know!

Oh, thanks, Susan and Shreve – I didn’t look closely enough. Don’t know why they struck me as antelope @ first glance. They’re all sweet, though, aren’t they? Lovely, lovely picture.

It’s almost like it was time lapse photography of a single mule deer in motion. Very nice!

so many! around here, we occasionally see a single deer or a doe w/ a fawn, but never more. (elk – 20 miles north – on the other hand – oh boy big herds!) we have just abt every wild critter native to northern calif – bears, mountain lions, foxes, etc – but no squirrels – or coyotes!
