I have yet to read the post below because I’ve been rushing lately and don’t want to rush reading it. I intend to read it tomorrow.

Just popped in to say this photo made me think of vanilla ice cream.

I’m glad to see we’re not the only ones snow bound. It’s been -23s for a whole week up here in Canada. However, the beauty is not to be overlooked such as that captured in your “ice beads” shot. I’ve never seen icicles that look quite like that. Don’t let Charlie lick them ha ha. I lost a lot of childhood skin from doing just that.

I haven’t known cold and snow like that since I lived in Nebraska more than 40 years ago. These days I prefer to view that beauty from the inside looking out. I hope that doesn’t mean I’ve “lost” something. It does bring on a peaceful nostalgia.

Would love to see a photo of your Charlie-fur fingerless gloves.

Hey, we have twin photos this week! My rearview mirror shot is on my Fairweather Cowgirl post… looks like you and I both prefer the pickup method in this weather!

Lovely. We don’t get snow where I live now, and I miss it. The seasons are a beautiful reminder of the power and beauty of nature

Beautiful – welcoming and forbidding all at once. Loved the Yeats.

p.s. – thought I was the only one w/a notebook fetish. Worse… anything office organization. Do they have rehab or 12-step for this? :)

Beautiful landscape, peaceful. It’s 80 degrees here. Blue sky. We have a bit of snow left in the mountains. After 40 years in the desert, at 65 degrees, I put on sweaters and Ugg boots..Thin blood….

I’ve been in San Diego too long – I was thinking it’s a nice shot of you driving on the salt flats… and then was wondering to myself what you were doing driving on the salt flats…. and then realised it’s probably snow. Is that snow?

I just read your book about your relationship with Charlie. What a great read! Thanks for stepping up and saving a beautiful animal like Charlie. He’s absolutely gorgeous!!!
