    Now who is that?

Not Frisco and not Sir Baby.

No one can deny that how animals act has a lot to do with how they are treated.

M ~ Good eye! That’s Ervin. I’ve got all the bulls on the place tamed. I’ll tell his story soon!

Ervin??? Sure is getting crowded at your place. You’ll dislocate your hips if you try to straddle that big boy. We will have to rename you Animal Whisperer I think. Glad to get some snippets on the weekend so thanks for that Shreve.

Forgive me for filling up your comment space but wanted to recommend a couple of books to you although I know you are mostly reading study books right now. When you can, check out Jeanette Wall’s Half Broke Horses and then her Glass Castle. She wrote the second one first but I think it’s best the other way around. You remind me of the woman in the Half Broke Horses. Over and Out!!

He looks like a Ferdinand—that was one of my favorite childhood books…the story of Ferdinand the bull, who loved to sniff the flowers.
    Great pics!

Total thread jack, but I think you would not find this pair of animals quite as unlikely as the author of this article:

I feel I should thank you. I read Daily Coyote two years ago and have followed your blog ever since. Fell in love with your descriptions of life in WY. I moved to the Big Horn Mtns a few months ago, and I know in my heart I moved home.

What does that feel like, lying on a bull? What sort of connection is going on there? It looks very grounding.

Also, you and that bull look good together – that’s why horse is having issues :)
