That’s not a bull, that’s an anvil!
March 17th, 2011 @ 9:07 am
Frisco definitely would look fantastic with a yoke on… how’s that going?
March 17th, 2011 @ 9:50 am
How awesomely handsome he is!
March 17th, 2011 @ 9:56 am
Frisco is gorgeous! And it looks like he’s looking at you sideways, pretending he doesn’t like you taking his picture. lol And what about his horns? He’s a hunk!

Curious about cows.
How does their sense of smell rate compared to dogs and people?
I know our dogs know who is “pack” and who is not because of the family smell. All of us who are related smell similar.
Can cows tell what cows are related to each other through smell? Do Sir Baby’s babies have that Sir Baby smell? Can Frisco tell?

“Dayum” back atcha, Shreve, for this handsome boy – hehe.
Rose (#4), he DOES look like he’s looking sideways @ her! How cute is THAT!
There’s Daisy’s top-notch… in black… between two baby horns. Yum.

Another beautiful picture that pushes me closer to moving out west myself. Damn, I love cows.
March 17th, 2011 @ 11:27 am
wow he’s so grown up!

A noble profile.
And, we enjoy your writing, but don’t make yourself sick doing it. Remember your responsibilities as an Alpha (not that any of your Betas and Deltas would let you forget). ;)

Mooooooooooooore please! He is one hunk of handsome!
March 17th, 2011 @ 4:55 pm
Super cute! I agree with Rose & JennyC: the sideways look is adorable “I don’t see you or your camera, but let me hold still in case!” :)

What a handsome dude! So quietly sure of himself.
March 17th, 2011 @ 9:23 pm
I am confused, can you give us the family tree again. Frisco is Daisy’s son, Sir Baby is just adopted, and who else is new there ?
March 17th, 2011 @ 10:59 pm
You can always tell an animal that is loved. They are always 100% themselves.

I love this pic. It’s a very creative shot with simple lines. I really like how the horizon line flows into Frisco’s back. I would imagine that’s not an accident. The balance of the shapes are wonderful. Very nice eye Shreve!

Please be careful around him now that he is a full grown bull. I was watching Animal Planet Fatal Attractions. A couple of the stories were of people who had pet Bulls and one guy got gored but he lived – the other guy wasn’t so lucky as he died. His pet bull that he loved and trusted killed him. You can’t totally trust them so be on guard.

Laura ~ That show is about sensationalism to get ratings (though you’re not alone in your fears – I get emails about that show at least once a month.) I believe such outcomes are equally as dependent on the PEOPLE involved as the animals.
Also – Frisco is neither full grown nor a bull – he’s castrated, this makes him a steer. I do have several full-grown friendly bulls around though – hopefully this post I wrote last year will assuage your fears: http://honeyrockdawn.com/2010/05/a-lot-of-bull/

I second Rose and TomT’s comments! And those horns are cracking me up! He’s a looker :D
March 18th, 2011 @ 10:07 pm
The little tiny horns are so cute (:
March 19th, 2011 @ 6:17 pm
Yes, Shreve, somehow I can’t picture laid back ultra cool Frisco boiling rabbits in a pot. Fatal Attractions, indeed! LOL.
