Oh wow. That image would be striking on its own, but juxtaposed against the other photographers in the background gives it a whole new level. Thank you for sharing!

That looks like the wall at the vista turnout just before you enter Yosemite from the south entrance.

It’s definately a blonde moment :) I hope the next shot didn’t require her jumping off the ledge instead of zooming in!

Amazing shot. The long lines of her legs against the long line of the wall is just beautiful.

I wondered if it was Yosemite? And what is she photographing? The other photographer is focused in the opposite direction!

What a great picture but scary. Hanging off the top, bending backwards……it’s not for the faint of heart. (like me)

Hi Shreve – I know this is not the best place for this, but I thought you might be interested in seeing this website and blog. Her photographs and suggestions sort of remind me of your work.

Thanks for all that you do!

I’m glad she’s holding on to the ledge with her other hand. Whew!

This makes me think of a photo series I saw called ‘Dancers Among Us’ which put dancers in everyday-ish situations and let them have fun.

Heh, Elizabeth that picture is in the series you posted! I guess it’s taken in Ft. Tryon Park.

According to the “Dancers Among Us” site noted above, the dancer/photographer/girl’s name is Adrienne Hayes.

    1. Too dangerous.
    2. Why a ballet pose to take a pic? Comes off as a cry for attention.
    4. Why upside-down when you can just flip it in Photoshop….again, I think someone is crying for attention
    5. I don’t know why but this pic just annoyed me. I went from looking at the pics of you and sir baby , feeling peaceful and happy and lucky to see such an amazing occurrence to feeling annoyed at senseless upside-down chic. Someone tell her about Adobe PS before she falls and gets hurt.

Agree with Gabi – I really hate to see people glorifying dangerously stupid behavior like this.

    I absolutely disagree with Gabi.

    1. Life is dangerous.
    2. The photo is from a series called “Dancers Among Us” …
    3. Why should we use Photoshop as the only way to make art? The human body is capable of amazing things and why shouldn’t we test them all out? Because of getting hurt? We can get hurt crossing the street… does that mean we should never cross a street again?

Life is an amazing thing and should be LIVED. And if this person finds life doing something like this… I applaud her.
