“Calf” doesn’t seem to do this little one justice, does it? Darling. Hope all is well.
March 7th, 2012 @ 10:22 am

March 7th, 2012 @ 10:55 am
Oh no don’t like the sounds of NICU, worked as an RN in that dept. Did not last long back to OB for me!Hope all is well.
But sometimes the littlest are the strongest!
March 7th, 2012 @ 10:56 am
Awww!! I want to snuggle and hug, just to let this baby know that his life matters..Hope it’s not to serious.
March 7th, 2012 @ 10:58 am
I’m thinking Charlie, Chloe and Eli have a new bovine roommate? :)
March 7th, 2012 @ 11:01 am

Ditto to what Rhonda said! I want to kiss that beautifully marked baby’s whole face.
March 7th, 2012 @ 11:43 am
Ahhh! The comforts of home…a calf on the couch snuggled up in a blankie! Hope the little one will be ready for the outdoors soon! Blessings to all.
March 7th, 2012 @ 11:51 am

March 7th, 2012 @ 12:06 pm
As Melanie said in GWTW, “the happiest days are when babies come.” Hope this turns out to be a happy day for you and your new little one.
March 7th, 2012 @ 12:21 pm
Precious, darling baby. Hope he/she will be fine and that the mom is fine too. Waiting for your updates!
March 7th, 2012 @ 12:22 pm
Hope this is a good story with a happy ending.
March 7th, 2012 @ 12:49 pm

March 7th, 2012 @ 1:08 pm
He looks like an Oreo. Its the 100th anniversary of the Oreo cookie….
March 7th, 2012 @ 1:29 pm
Hoping this little baby is okay. So cute.
March 7th, 2012 @ 1:36 pm
flowered pillows for bedding — perfect! but how is it going to explain to it’s mom that there is something missing when it’s well enough to move out to the barn?
March 7th, 2012 @ 1:55 pm
Adorable, and what a striking “mask”. Can’t wait for the backstory…
March 7th, 2012 @ 2:05 pm
OMG it’s a panda cow!!!! so cute! I hope it’s ok!
March 7th, 2012 @ 2:25 pm
Oh what a heart tugger. Hope the little one will be okay and it’s mother.
Panda or Oreo as others have said, or perhaps Ebony and Ivory.
March 7th, 2012 @ 3:31 pm
NICU in MY business means that this little one needs special care for some reason….so why is this gorgeous baby in Shreve’s neonatal intensive care unit? He is absolutely precious looking. I like the name Oreo for him.
Hope is mother is okay .
March 7th, 2012 @ 3:50 pm
I’d like to throw out the name Orca…the eye patch and black and white coloring reminds me of an Orca (aka Killer Whale)
March 7th, 2012 @ 4:27 pm
OK…now I am on pins and needles… NICU….doesn’t sound good, but cute little baby calfy looks so sound and cuddly. I hope when I finally pass away I come back as one of your cows!
March 7th, 2012 @ 4:29 pm
What beautiful markings! Like most everyone else, I would love to cuddle with this calf. Sending lots of love and good wishes that way and looking forward to the story.
March 7th, 2012 @ 4:44 pm
there is cowboys and cowgirls, then there is S~ cowmom.
March 7th, 2012 @ 6:29 pm
Sweet Baby! And I love the potential name Oreo..you rock Shreve…
March 7th, 2012 @ 6:44 pm
Hope baby is ok! Very cute!
March 7th, 2012 @ 7:05 pm
aww, poor baby …looks peaceful and restful, and hopefully recovering !!
March 7th, 2012 @ 7:07 pm
Look forward to this story. The baby looks comfy and hope is okay and just needs lots of TLC.
March 7th, 2012 @ 9:29 pm
Seeing NICU has me worried …
March 8th, 2012 @ 1:05 am
Looks like a baby without his/her mom… Did mom die, or did she reject the baby?
March 8th, 2012 @ 7:47 am
Wouldn’t that be BNICU – for Bovine Neonatal?
And Oreo is a good name since the 6th was the 100th birthday of my favorite grocery store cookie!!!!!
Hope all is well with the baby and mom….
March 8th, 2012 @ 8:58 am
That face is too precious! fingers crossed all is well. . . .
March 8th, 2012 @ 10:43 am
For those of you who want to see real Oreo cookie cows the breed is called Belted Galloway. There is a Farm in Rockport ME that specializes in them. Here is the link.
http://aldermere.org
At a local bagel shop they got into the act. One of their bagels is called Belted Caraway! We Mainers are a strange lot. Maybe Shreve should add some to her herd.
March 8th, 2012 @ 11:01 am
Sorry the link should read:

A popular tourist stopping point.
March 8th, 2012 @ 11:30 am
I LOVE the belted cows. Dutch Belted are a dairy breed – I wanted one SO badly before I met Daisy!
March 9th, 2012 @ 2:02 pm
This story is so great. I’m so glad you got to her in time!
On another, unrelated, note (because I lever use my twitter): OMG MINIEGGS. They are my favorite candy ever. I seriously buy bags and bags of them so I can store a few to have off-season. XD
March 20th, 2012 @ 11:36 am
What a beautiful face, looks so silky soft and kissable! Hope all is well…
May 16th, 2013 @ 6:38 pm
I needed to create you that little bit of note to help give many thanks over again relating to the
exceptional
basics you have
provided above. This is
unbelievably generous with people like you to make
easily all a few people could possibly
have made available for an electronic book to make some bucks for themselves, and in particular given that you might well have tried it
if you ever wanted. The
good ideas likewise served as the easy
way to be aware that most people have the same
fervor like my own to understand many more pertaining
to this matter. I think
there are some more enjoyable
moments ahead for people who discover your site.
