Adorable!!! I agree with Marg that I have never seen a silver gray like this before, either. Would be so awesome if he/she would stay this color. Beautiful. Almost looks like a little lamb looking at the camera. What fun just before Easter!

    Shreve-
I looked at this amazing photo for a few moments and suddenly thought about a paragraph in “The Daily Coyote” where you speak so beautifully about Easter.
You and your animals are indeed a daily blessing for so many.
    Happy Easter Shreve.

  19. bonnie
    March 27th, 2013 @ 11:23 am

beautiful! is it a boy or girl, and will you be keeping it? i know you can’t keep them all, but you are putting together such a uniquely verigated herd — a nice departure from basic black.

My first thought was ‘that’s the dirtiest lamb I’ve ever seen!’ :D

    Too cute for words.

(and I don’t recommend anyone google imaging grey calf – one word: boots) Most unbecoming this beautifully cute post.

    March 27th, 2013 @ 10:16 pm

Want. I need one of these immediately. I have so many pictures of gray cows from my travels in Bangladesh. I’ve never seen one in America, and now that I know there is one, I must have it. If you do nothing but post pictures of this cow every day for the next year, this will still be my favorite blog on the internet. Just saying…

I have never seen a gray cow before….I wonder if he will stay that color or if he will darken with age. I know my cat has had gray/silver kittens before, but they always blacken as they get older. As for names…the first name that popped into my head was Mercury!

I’m over 80, have lived in the West for years, and traveled in nearly every state…never heard of, or saw, a grey calf. Do you think the color will stay true…or change as Siamese kittens do…born white before they get their color? It’s beautiful for sure! Thanks for sharing…the calf and so much more that make my day.

  46. Wendi
    March 29th, 2013 @ 8:58 am

Christian would be a good name, after 50 shades of gray…..now that will get the blood pumping ;)

    March 29th, 2013 @ 11:42 am

I think I go back and look at this calf every day…makes me smile:) I like Christine’s thoughts for names…Pewter or Sterling. If it’s a girl…what about Graycie??

I’m going back and catching up on posts (it appears I’ve missed a lot) and I was wondering what ever happened to the gray baby? I haven’t seen any updates recently, and he is so cute. :)
