T ~ She was branded at the dairy long before I get her. I think it looks like the big dipper.

I’m so glad I don’t have to try and walk and lay down with my giant boobs between my legs. Though I’m sure Daisy is a pro and does it with grace!

Perhaps a silly question, but what’s on her belly that looks like a wee hand or curl-toed foot trying to reach through? (In front of the udder, looks like a big vein is pointing right at it.)

Congrats! So happy to hear a new baby girl for Daisy! Thanks for letting us know. Go nap, by all means! Get some much-earned rest, and we’ll look forward to pics and story when you can. …And the search for names begins…

    Amy(16) – ha, me too!

A ~ That’s called the milk vein! All cows have it, but it’s very prominent in Daisy (and probably most dairy cows) as it connects heart and udder and her udder is huge. But a curl-toed foot trying to reach through is much more exciting (and it TOEtally looks like that! :)

I didn’t think they branded cows anymore. And yes, it does look like the big dipper.

Congrats on the new baby girl. Hope Mom and daughter are doing fine. Can’t wait to see what color this one turns out to be.

Pretty soon you are going to have to start a boutique cheese making enterprise you are going to be swimming in so much milk.

As Melanie said in Gone With The Wind, “the happiest days are when babies come.” Wishing happy days to you and Daisy and the new little cow-lette.
