soggypouf

A soggy Pouf.

babycantaloupeW

A baby cantaloupe!
The garden is going nuts. My tomato plants are nearly taller than I.
Yet again, it’s a jungle out there.

barn

We’re building a barn.

barn1

YEEHAW!

rainoveryonder

Rain over yonder.

passportphoto

Can’t this be my passport photo?
I swear all government agencies have an “ogre filter” which they covertly apply to ID photos.

makinmozz

Making mozzarella.
My days, these days, are filled with milk and cream and ice cream and cheese.
I cannot complain.

goldenwChlo

A golden evening with Chloe.

That mozzarella looks amazing. That is not the easiest cheese to make at home but yours looks great.

With all the milk you’re getting I figured you’d be doing cheese, yogurt, ice cream, whatever you could to use and preserve it.

And how did Ms. Pouf get so soggy? Are the chickens playing in the sprinklers?

Looks like those blessed with barn accommodations are going to have a splendid view. Better than many of us humans.

Thanks for lovely plethora of images. Funny – was biting into a piece of mozzarella, wishing it were homemade, as I scrolled down to the Making mozzarella pic. Can tell the barn will be awesome. Wish there were a way to build a covered walk between house and barn; would be a good seed nursery and grand run for C & C during winter, too. Probably an insult to Eli, though – I can see him sliding a pack of smokes in his rolled-up t-shirt and saying, “I don’t need no stinkin’ girly covered walkway.”

When I worked in the corporate world, they never let me use an id picture of me with a bag over my head with a smiley face on it. They seemed so rigid!

Shreve, never mind the ogre filter, what about the mad Islamist filter?

I’ve been assuming the barn being built is yours, but it occurred to me it could be for Mike. So, whose critters will be lucky enough to call it home?

I love your chickens! Just the other evening I was telling my daughter and husband about the kind of chickens you have.
It started out with “one day when we have a hobby farm..” I would love a bunch to name them all rock and roll singer names, because they remind me of rock and roll singers!
Both my daughter and husband looked at me like I was crazy until I showed them a pic of the chickens and then they got it. :)
