I’m amazed that there’s no snow! We have some and a couple of weeks with -30 temps in store for us. That’s Celcius but pretty close to F at that number. Brrrr.

M ~ I took this pic on the weekend – it snowed yesterday! But not very much.

Somehow I can see the love you have for your animals through your photography.

The Girls. Each showing her beautiful features: Daisy’s darling topknot, and Fiona’s ears.

Such a wonderful shot. The lavender skies infused with apricot and tangerine from the sunset, the cobalt blue sliver of mountains, the russet soil below – perfect backdrop for these sweet divas. Yum.

Lovely, reminding me of feeding the cattle on the family ranch: pitching hay like mad from the back of the pickup as they lowed and followed, Grandpa yelling at me to work faster, Dad yelling at Grandpa (who was hard of hearing even when I was a teenager) to watch where he was driving… Despite the commotion and hard work, I relished the open air and land all around, and the great rural hush that would return when we were all quiet.

I agree with the previous comments about how beautiful and peaceful the scene is, but I say, “Let’s hear it for the COWPIES!” They’re artfully arranged and give the photo just the right balance. Well done, Shreve, as always.

    Great coloring with oh-well-at-least-the-sun-came-up symbolism.
