Wow, and on the 6th of May. “El Nino” is working in mysterious ways this year. Up here in Ontario, we had a high yesterday, of 25C or 81F. Today it is 56F. Chilly. We Canadians are a hardy bunch, as are you folk in the Northern U.S. and mountain areas.
I’m glad it’s not snowing up here. I put my shovel away,(not that it was needed much this winter)beginning of last month.
Stay warm Shreve,it’s almost over!!!!!

Woah, and I thought our spring snows in Denver were always the dramatic weather spot! Gorgeous pic!
May 6th, 2010 @ 10:34 am
Is this Ten Sleep’s answer to global warming? Or perhaps the perpetual snowcone machine.
May 6th, 2010 @ 10:38 am
That is outstanding.
May 6th, 2010 @ 10:54 am
Great picture. Will you have a summer camp for your fans, we can shop wood and clean and cook and pay to be there.
Camp Bull.

May 6th, 2010 @ 2:44 pm
Wow. Is that a snowstorm?
I hate to say I’m sitting in a t-shirt and it’s a pleasant 70s in So. Cal.

May 6th, 2010 @ 3:27 pm
I moved to Wyoming in 1997 and planted my first garden here in the spring of 1998–mid-May. On June 6 that year, it snowed 4 inches!
May 6th, 2010 @ 7:29 pm
Just beautiful – you are a talented artist!!
May 6th, 2010 @ 9:07 pm
The old saying for Montana and Wyoming is we have 8 months of winter and 4 months of company.
May 6th, 2010 @ 9:52 pm
You’re a talented photographer. Every photo is evocative.

Shreve, have you heard the song “Coyote” by Joni Mitchell?
Here’s a live version (from Last Waltz)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRTiGSF6iGc (better quality)
Lyrics: http://www.lyricsdepot.com/joni-mitchell/coyote.html
It’s dreamy and beautiful and seems the perfect theme song.

Beautiful picture. Gotta love the lighting and how the snow softens some things and contrasts others. But as for wondering why it is snowing, that is a no-brainer. This storm was predictable years ago. They can be predicted years into the future. It is finals week at UWyo. Every 3 out of 4 dates in the school year when the students are trying to go back home, they get snowed in to Laramie. Take it to Vegas.
May 7th, 2010 @ 7:06 am
Lovely photo. The snow is almost on top of us in northern MN now.
May 7th, 2010 @ 7:41 am
I wonder what it is about photos like this that always makes them my favorites…maybe the simplicity of them…once again…LOVE IT!
May 7th, 2010 @ 8:04 am
love the picture, however it looks just like Springtime in Alberta! I am looking out at snow also today.
May 7th, 2010 @ 8:36 am

May 7th, 2010 @ 8:55 am
