The Museum Of Four In The Morning

☆ March 3, 2015

I’m lying in bed, bookended by cats, finding magic on the internet to widen my mind…..
The arc of this TED talk is so awesome and surprising… it’s pretty much the meaning of life:

I also stumbled upon the amazing Cuchira ~ her mini-vids are mesmerizing.
Here’s
a direct link since I can’t figure out how to get the embed to work….

Thank you so much for the notes and comments and emails and loooove!

And now I have to play Gwen Stefani’s 4 In The Morning.

There is nothing like traveling at 4am. Love it. The serenity of being one of the only living creatures awake experiencing the rest of the world being quiet and peaceful.

I got chills watching the talk. True chills. There is some symmetry here for me, but I don’t know what it is yet. Chills.

    Heal, Shreve.

I get up just about everyday at 4 AM (no alarm, just my internal wake up clock) so I found the TED talk interesting to say the least and now when I get up, I can think about all the other 4 AM references!

Glad you are finding ways to keep from going stir crazy and that you are in healing mode. Prayers for continued improvement daily and return to typical routine soon!

Love this! I am a librarian and as soon as I saw the Library of Congress numbers I suspected THAT somehow was how he knew the poem. Will share! Hope you are feeling better each day.

There’s a reason why monks and mystics meditate at that hour.

Glad to know the surgery went well and that you are now being healed by cats! Sending you warmest wishes for a speedy recovery. Also sending thanks for “4:00 AM,” when I am frequently awake, enjoying the quiet-before-the-day.
    Hugs,
    T.

Glad you are ‘bookended’ by cats. What might be their Dewey Decimal Library designations?

Thanks for sharing the Ted Talks. Loved it.

I watched the video, and found it pretty cool (in fact I’ve watched it a couple of times now). When I first wake up in the morning I usually grab my phone and see if there’s anything on Facebook. The very next morning after I first watched it, the first post on my newsfeed was from someone who posted “it’s 4 am and I’m wide awake”. What an odd little coincidence……

Last night on Twitter, a friend complained about waking up at 4 am and BAM, I shared this TED Talk with him. He loved it as much as I did. :)

Thanks for that TED talk! It was fun, funny and inspirational. As soon as the mix tape showed up, I hit pause and went to another page on the internet to find out what P was in the LoC. I am intimately familiar with the N series (from my first degree) and now with the B series (for my fourth degree!) Lovely.
