Thank you for sharing these videos ~the next best thing to seeing these beautiful creatures in person enjoying the snow! It reminds me of the video of the animals at the Portland,OR zoo a few weeks ago after a rare blizzard there. If you haven’t seen it check it out!!

I love the shakes and whuffles after!

Why do you think they do that? Is it scratching an itch? Or is it the pure joy it appears to be?

Love the videos of the horses rolling in the snow. Have never had the opportunity to observe horses in a snowy situation, so this has been educational as well as amusing!!! Thanks Shreve.

Someone needs to come in for a long quality back scratch.

Perfect description! Like little kids, that is just so much fun. I always get a kick out of how they love to roll in the soft snow (or new shavings!) and also when they try to roll in a stream or lake! That is so funny and that is when you can see how they can shut tight their nostrils! So funny looking!!

Oh, hilarious. All four hooves in the air, the snorting and grunting, the thorough shake-off as they get back up. And that big tongue licking in and out at the end. Thanks for sharing, Shreve.
