This looks a bit like coutryside in Australia near Broken Hill (not quite central Australia) – just the soil would be redder and maybe a bit flatter.

It makes me want to skip work and take a road trip to anywhere today.

It looks quiet too. Very foreign to me from where I sit in suburbia.

Evelyn’s comment made me wonder if every country has a red road somewhere. I know the US and Australia have plenty, Canada’s Prince Edward Island grows wonderful potatoes in their red soil, Africa has red…anyone know if Europe has red roads? Just a curious question, if I quit being curious I’ll know it’s all over for me lol.

I love all us city dwellers screaming for the quiet. :D

When I go to my country, my ears ring from the lack of noise. Shreve, when you go to the city do your ears ring from the noise?

F ~ you know, I don’t recall my ears doing anything when I was in the city this summer – it was more like my eyeballs were ringing!

Shreve, this reminds me of the drive to my horse pasture every day. Clouds, dirt, hills, sagebrush, Oh, and did I mention that dirt. (Only…no power lines)
    Lovely, soft photo.

I wonder if everyone has a red dirt road they love. There is something about red dirt, (strange, I know), that brings people together.

Reminds me of a great song by Emmylou Harris titled, “Red Dirt Girl”.
